Liothyronine Sodium
Synthetic T3 — the active thyroid hormone, dosed in micrograms.
Liothyronine sodium is the synthetic salt of triiodothyronine (T3) — the biologically active thyroid hormone. It acts faster and more potently than levothyroxine (T4), which the body must first convert, making it useful where a rapid or direct thyroid effect is needed, under a physician's direction.
At 25 micrograms the dose is tiny, so content uniformity is paramount: we compress from a validated low-dose blend and test every batch for uniformity and dissolution. Fifty tablets in a desiccant-protected blister inside a serialised carton, verifiable at the pack level.
